We are a community of Asian and Pacific Islander (AAPI) descent, currently settlers on Cherokee land.

We create space for celebration, exploration, healing, and solidarity with each other and other communities.

Emerging as a response to the tragic events of the Atlanta Spa shootings in 2021 and the distressing wave of AAPI hate during the COVID era, our genesis stems from the initiative of local AAPI therapists. They organized a pop-up clinic aimed at aiding the WNC AAPI community in processing trauma.

This gathering not only provided healing support but also united individuals who, despite residing in the area for years, were previously unaware of each other's presence. From that moment, we aimed to reconnect under not out of tragedy but shared joy and connection.

Purpose

We foster spaces that nurture celebration, exploration, healing, and solidarity, extending to other local communities of culture.

culture

We congregate to exchange cultural traditions, whether through culinary experiences, honoring ancestral practices, redefining cultural norms, and forging kinship bonds as we collectively explore our identities.

celebration

We come together in communal festivities, occupying spaces that reflect our shared heritages. Holidays and culturally significant occasions are moments we come together to celebrate.

connection

Central to our mission is the creation of a nurturing environment where every individual feels a profound sense of belonging. We actively support AAPI and BIPOC businesses in the region and stand in solidarity with other marginalized communities.
